About the Designer

As far back as I can remember, God was preparing and nurturing my talent for sewing and painting. My Grandmother Janelle could sew clothing and ran a children's clothing company called The Grace Company - which inspired the name of my business. My Grandma Madeline could paint and sew anything from clothing to crafts and I loved looking through her dresser of leftover fabrics whenever I'd visit. My mother, Carolyn, gave me the gift of patience and sewing by hand - as she is a master of counted cross-stitch.

After visiting a church with a sanctuary full of beautiful banners, my imagination was sparked! I could sew with a new purpose. It was just after 9/11, so my first banner was "One Nation Under God" with a flag in the shape of the United States. I lived in Virginia at the time and my church loved my creation and from there Scripture became the inspiration for many more church-sized banners. Now in Colorado, I am creating banners as a business!
